Actor-turned-politician Prakash Raj, who recently faced controversy over a tweet, has extended his congratulations to the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) for the triumphant Chandrayaan-3 mission.

He joined numerous figures from the film industry in celebrating India’s historic achievement as the fourth nation to successfully land a spacecraft on the moon and the first to touch down on the lunar south pole.

This commendation comes after the actor stirred controversy when he shared a cartoon related to the moon mission, involving a tea seller. In response to the backlash, he clarified, “Hate sees only Hate… I was referring to a joke of #Armstrong times… celebrating our Kerala Chaiwala… which Chaiwala did the trolls see? If you don’t get a joke then the joke is on you… GROW UP #justasking.”

ISRO celebrated the successful mission with a tweet stating, “Chandrayaan-3 Mission: ‘India, I reached my destination and you too!'”
